HOW A LAUNDRY ROOM CLEANSE CAN REDUCE YOUR TOXIC LOAD

There is no shortage of effective, great-smelling and easy to use laundry products on our store shelves. The issue is what is in them.  Many detergents contain effective cleaning agents but ones that can include known carcinogens and substances harmful to our brain as well as fetal and infant development.

The good news is there are lots of actions and choices you can make to get your clothes clean, bright and smelling terrific – toxin-free!  Come learn how you can begin a laundry room cleanse and swap out products for safer alternatives starting today!

3 MORE LAUNDRY TIPS

Here are a few other of my favorite laundry tips to keep it looking good, toxin-free and fresh:

1. NOTHING BEATS THE SMELL OF LINE-DRIED CLOTHES.

In spring and summer and warmer fall days, I try to dry as much as I can outside and keep the dryer off.  It is helpful for the environment and sometimes there is less ironing required, too.  And, clothes that need a little brightening? The sun can do the trick!

2.  WEAR CLOTHES MORE THAN ONCE.

A t-shirt you wore for a few hours while writing emails probably is clean enough to throw on another day.  I have lived with teenagers and I think perhaps there is no portion of the population more guilty of adding to the laundry pile than teens who constantly change outfits. (Could it be easier to add it to the laundry basket than hang it up, perhaps?) I installed hooks in our closets for clothes that were only worn briefly that don’t belong in the hamper just yet and can be worn again. It helps cut down on the workload, too!

3.  SEEK OUT ORGANIC DRY CLEANERS.

Organic dry cleaners are popping up everywhere. I have found one near my home that does a great job and no chemical odor at all!

These are some great tips. I havnt written specifically about detoxing the laundry room but for sure there are many tonget rid of and it’s not that hard when you make the changes like you mention. Laundry detergent and dry sheets were the first to change when my daughters were babies because they had eczema. That’s was when I first learned how toxins can affect our health. I’ll take a look around the rest of your blog. I just came across your site and this post on Pinterest . I’ll save this and share it on Facebook. It’s great finding other like minded bloggers. Keep up the great work!
